How can I import my existing Outlook rules?
To do this you need a minimum of Outlook 2007. Unfortunately it isn't currently possible to import rules from previous versions, as Microsoft didn't add this facility to Outlook until 2007. If you have Outlook 2007, the Import from Outlook menu item becomes available (Rules Manager... Rules... Import... Outlook Rules...).

Will Rules Manager work with Outlook 2010?
Rules Manager has been tested and works with the 32 bit version of Office 2010. It does not (and will not in its current form) work with the 64 bit version. Microsoft are actually recommending users to choose the 32bit version of Office unless they have specific requirements that need the 64bit version (e.g. spreadsheets larger than 2Gb).

Will Rules Manager work beyond Outlook 2010?
To work with OSs above Windows 7 and 64 bit versions of Office, Rules Manager requires a complete rebuild. Work on this has started, but it is very early days yet. Rules Manager 3 will be aimed at later OSs and Office versions, and offer backward compatibility with RM2 data (i.e. you can export your rules from RM2 to RM3). It will also be both 32 bit and 64 bit compatible, so it won't matter what version of Office you are running (so long as it is 2007 or above).

Is Rules Manager available for Outlook 2000 and Outlook XP?
Currently, Rules Manager is not available for Office prior to 2003. The last version that was compatible with earlier versions of Office was 1.5.7, but this has been withdrawn due to various issues. Support may be re-introduced for Outlook XP once some compatibility issues have been addressed, but there is unlikely to be support for Outlook 2000 (it simply isn't easily possible to achieve most of the RM functionality in this version).
